The BSS measures attitudes and behaviors that clinicians routinely consider when assessing a patient’s suicide risk.

Benefits

Reveals specific suicidal characteristics that require greater clinical scrutiny.
Can be administered with the BDI®-II and the BHS® for a more complete evaluation.
Five screening items reduce the length and the intrusiveness of the questionnaire for patients who are nonsuicidal.
Full scale consists of 21 test items.

Sample Reports

Concise Interpretive reports provide useful information such as the client's demographics, a graphical presentation of the client's raw score, a brief interpretation of the client's test score and a list of items endorsements. Progress reports help monitor a client's progress over time.
